Side by side
A grown-up tells the story and the child points, giggles and joins in. It's something to do with your child, not just something for them to watch.
Interactive story time
Tell a story out loud, and MOYJOY draws it as you go, in a sky of glowing light. Bouncing frogs, tiny purple dragons, melting snowmen: if you can say it, it appears.

MOYJOY starts listening.
Make one up as you go.
Everything you mention swirls onto the screen.
MOYJOY isn't an app to hand over and walk away from. It's shared, interactive screen time: you tell the story, your little one watches it come alive, and you talk about it together.
A grown-up tells the story and the child points, giggles and joins in. It's something to do with your child, not just something for them to watch.
Say "apple" and an apple appears. Seeing a picture the moment they hear a word helps toddlers connect the two.
"A tiny purple frog, jumping!" Every describing word changes the picture, so colors, sizes and action words become something kids can see.
There are no levels, ads or autoplay. Nothing happens until someone speaks, so every picture comes from your family's imagination.
MOYJOY shows one thing at a time: what it is, how it looks, how it feels and what it's doing, and for a moment, what it does to something else. Things mentioned in passing (under a tree
, out the window
) pop up beside it, and your character stays the star. Stories made of those come alive. Little details don't show (yet).
There was a dinosaur.
The dinosaur was tiny and purple.
She was so sleepy.
The bunny hopped.
The rocket zoomed.
The fish swam away.(

The cow ate a cookie.
The dog chased the ball.
The bunny hugged the bear. The other thing joins in for a moment.
In the forest, at night, it started to rain.
The monkey did a somersault.
He fell down.
She took a bow.
The dog shook it off.
He brushed his teeth.
She took a bath.
Then he went to bed.
Boom!

Story time is even better on the big screen. Your computer does the listening, so keep it close to whoever's telling the story.
Many Samsung, LG, Sony and Vizio TVs have AirPlay built in.
The sharpest picture. Keep a laptop's lid open so it can hear you.
Chrome on a Mac or PC works best (Edge is good too). Safari mostly works. Firefox can't listen to speech, so it won't work there.
MOYJOY has no accounts and keeps nothing you say. (We count page visits anonymously, without cookies, so we know how many families find it.) In recent versions of Chrome, listening happens right on your computer, so no audio is sent anywhere (Chrome downloads its speech model the first time). Where that isn't available, Chrome uses Google's speech service to turn speech into words.
Nearly 2,000 things: animals, food, vehicles, toys, people, places, weather, flags, and more. Many have several different looks, so say "another one" to see a new version.
A quiet room helps a lot. Short sentences and clear words work best, and grown-up narrators tend to be understood more easily than very small voices.
No. MOYJOY is free to use, right in your browser.
Hi, I'm Casey Saran. I built MOYJOY for my daughter, who is one and a half and just starting to find her words.
I wanted something we could do together: I tell a story, she points and shouts, and the screen keeps up with us. Every bunny, banana and bouncing dragon comes from our own imagination, not from an algorithm.
I hope it brings your family some of the same joy. I'd love to hear how you use it, what you wish it could draw, or anything that didn't work.
Casey
