Privacy Policy

Effective October 23, 2026

The short version. We care deeply about the safety of children online. MOYJOY is made for little children and the grown-ups who tell them stories, and the best way to protect a child's information is never to collect it. MOYJOY has no accounts, no ads and no tracking cookies. It does not ask a child for any personal information, and it never records audio or stores or sends your child's words or stories anywhere.

Who we are

MOYJOY (moyjoy.com) is a free website made by Casey Saran. It is a personal project with no business behind it: no ads, no subscriptions and nothing for sale. You can reach us at casey@moyjoy.com.

Information from children

MOYJOY is meant to be used by a child together with a parent or caregiver. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Story Time, Say It! and Rhyme Time never ask for a name, age, email address, photo, location or any other personal information, and there are no accounts or profiles.

The feedback form and the "Tell Casey" problem report are meant for grown-ups. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through either of them, email casey@moyjoy.com and we will delete it.

Listening

MOYJOY listens only after you tap to start (the book in Story Time, the button in Say It!, or a rhyme in Rhyme Time), and your browser asks your permission to use the microphone first. Turning speech into words is done by your browser's built-in speech recognition, not by MOYJOY:

MOYJOY receives only the words the browser hears, and uses them right away, on your device, to choose a picture. MOYJOY never records audio, and never stores or sends your words or stories anywhere. Stop listening at any time with the same button, or by leaving the page.

What we do collect

Like every website, our host (Vercel) and the font service on our home page (Google Fonts) receive basic technical information, such as your IP address, when your browser loads the site.

What we don't do

Your choices

Parents and caregivers can ask us at any time to see or delete anything you or your child have sent us. Email casey@moyjoy.com and we will take care of it. We keep feedback and problem reports only as long as we need them to answer you or fix MOYJOY.

Changes

If we change how MOYJOY handles information, we will update this page and its effective date. If a change would ever mean collecting personal information from children, we would not do it without first getting a parent's permission.
